        Before                                                          Restored with flat sealer

If teak furniture and decks lived in clean air, we could let the wood weather naturally and go on to other things. Unfortunately, the assault of modern-day air pollutants and the proximity to water and plant algae, quickly turns bare teak/wood nearly black. Scrubbing only removes some of the stains leaving a blotchy look that’s neither golden nor gray. Most furniture/deck owners find themselves unhappy with either look and decide that some treatment is essential.

The best option for preserving the furniture’s natural color and new appearance is restoring the wood to its natural finish and sealing the furniture with a protective sealer. The preparation in restoring the wood to its natural finish truly sets the professional results apart from the amateur attempts.

Restoring Furniture:

Refinishing weathered furniture requires striping any old sealer and removing any gray and discoloration.  Reason being, old sealers and discoloration in the wood will interfere with the bonding of a new sealer. We then sand all furniture for smoothness and texture. Once furniture has been prepped correctly, we then seal the furniture with 2 coats of a high-quality "Marine Sealer".

Extra Protection Clear Coat:

A clear coat provides added stain resistance. After applying the teak sealer, if added stain protection is desired, we would recommend applying 2 coats of clear coat to the tops of tables and flat surfaces. This makes the surface stain resistant and allows easy clean-up of food spills.
